Walter Rankin Richards, Jr., 92, of Gould passed away on February 16, 2018 at his home.
He was born on December 22, 1925 in Little Rock to the late, Walter R. Richards, Sr. and Stella Mayhart Pinkett Richards.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the First Baptist Church in Gould where he was a deacon emeritus, a retired rural letter carrier, a Kentucky colonel, a Navy Veteran of World War II and a 32 degree Mason. But most of all, a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Ayline Proctor Richards of Gould; a son, Greg Rankin Richards (Nancy) of Marion, Ohio; two daughters, Betty Ann Hill (James) of Hot Springs, and Jeanne Elizabeth Richards of Gould; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Gould with Bro. Harold Chandler and Bro. Dubs Byers officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. A private graveside service in Walnut Lake Cemetery will be held later.
