Wanda Kristine ”Kristie” Cook Harrod, 48, of Vilonia, formerly of Hermitage, died on May 20, 2017 at her home.

She was a 1987 graduate of the White Hall High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and a UAM Cheerleader. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Hermitage, a homemaker for her husband and five beautiful daughters and her grandson.

Mrs. Harrod was born January 9, 1969 at White Hall and was the daughter of the late Glen Willus Cook and Kay Ann Walker Cook.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe W. Cook, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Brent Harrod; five daughters, Heather Ann Harrod and fiancé Eddie Joe Huff of Harrison, Holly Kristine Harrod of Savannah, Georgia, Sidney Hope Harrod of Little Rock, Halleigh Morgan Harrod of Vilonia, and Haven Brentley Harrod of Vilonia; a grandson, Gunner Paul Huff of Harrison; a brother, Gordon K. Cook of San Antonio, Texas; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Glenda Harrod of Godfrey Landing; a host of nieces and nephews from both the Cook family and Harrod family.

Funeral services will be held on May 24 at 2 p.m. at Frazer Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be at in Union Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is May 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
