The Warren Lumberjacks fell to Booneville 14-12 Friday night in a twice-delayed 4A state championship game at War Memorial Stadium.

Officials delayed the game twice due to a severe thunderstorm, resulting in the longest state championship game in more than a decade. It took more than four and a half hours to complete the game.

Booneville led the entire game but Warren threatened late in the fourth quarter until a Booneville interception in the final seconds of the game ended Warren’s title hopes.
