As of Sunday at 9:15 a.m. there has been no water service in some areas of Monticello due to a water line break at the intersection of Barkada Road and U.S. 425 North.
Monticello water service crews, which have been working on the break for 24 hours, don’t know if the break was caused by a fallen power pole or if the pole fell because of the water leak. A number of valves have been turned off but the water is still running and there is no estimate of when the leak will be repaired, according to a notice from the city.
