Curtis Waymon Wilson, 85, of Monticello passed away February 22, 2014 at Autumn Leaves of Riverstone in Missouri City, Texas.
Mr. Wilson was a retired maintenance supervisor at UAM, a welder and carpenter, a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a member of the Phillips Hunting Club
Mr. Wilson was born January 14, 1929 and was the son of the late Henry Curtis Wilson and Verta Burks Wilson.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Virginia Harrison Wilson; a brother, Joe Wilson; and a sister, Mary Sue Wilson Johnson.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Wilson Owens and her husband, Rick Owens, and one grandson, Tyler Wilson Owens, all of Sugar Land, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
A graveside service will be held February 26 at 10 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery on Green Hill Road in Drew County.
