Wayne “Bud” McClain, 90 of Warren, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born on January 25, 1929 at Rye. He was the son of the late Furn McClain and Mamie Ashcraft McClain.
Mr. McClain was a retired mechanic for Glynn Lyon Buick for 21 years. He worked for Potlatch Lumber Company for 12 years in the truck shop, and White Brothers Construction for 12 years. He was a member of Willoughby Free Will Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict.
Mr. McClain enjoyed staying busy, fixing up old tractors, working and raising his cows, and helping his family, friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Fern Patterson; sister, Minnie Lee Ashcraft; brothers, James C. “Billy” McClain, and Arthur B. “George” McClain.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Johnnie Lee Johnson McClain; son, Denny W. McClain and wife Heather of Warren; daughters, Mae McClain Patterson and husband, Jack, of Warren, Claire McClain Cissell and husband, Phillip, of Memphis, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Brandi Patterson Nichols and husband, Jonathan, of Little Rock, Dylan McClain and McKenzie McClain both of Monticello, Jordan Claire Cissell of Memphis, Tennessee; two bonus grandchildren, Taylor Ford Waxley and spouse Tyler, El Dorado, and Lauren Leanne Ford of, Cabot; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Nichols, Emily Nichols and Molly Nichols all of Little Rock; brothers, Walter “Pete” McClain and wife, Annie of Pine Bluff, and Mack McClain and spouse Deray, Warren; a sister, Peggy McClain Harton and spouse Thomas, Little Rock and a sister-in-law, Agnes McClain of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be at Willoughby Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, November 5 at 6 p.m. at Frazier’s Funeral Home.
