1:02 p.m.  The National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chicot County in Southeast Arkansas. At 1:02 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Montrose, or 13 miles west of Lake Village, moving east at 45 miles per hour. The warning remains in effect until 2:15 p.m.

12:53 p.m.  The National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Ashley County in Southeast Arkansas. The warning remains in effect until 1:45 p.m.

10:40 a.m.  The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for Ashley, Chicot and Union counties until 6 p.m.

5 a.m.   Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms will spread across Arkansas today. A half inch to an inch of rain is expected in eastern sections of the state, with locally over an inch. There is an outside chance of severe weather in the far southeast. Severe storms will be more likely south and east of the region from Louisiana to Alabama.
