William “Billy” Franklin Bolen, 65, of Cornerville (Lincoln County), lost his battle with lung cancer on July 21, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 10, 1953 in Star City to the late William Guy and Cecil Louise Lunsford Bolen.
He was a Baptist, an avid hunter, fisherman, Razorback fan, and loved his family. He was a member of B&B Hunting Club, which he shared with his children, and was a proud friend of Bill’s since November 22, 1989.
Also preceding him in death were his oldest daughter, Charity Ann Bolen Shepherd; a brother, Benjamin Bolen and a sister, Guylean Bolen Owen.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 47 years, Deborah Ann Tucker Bolen of Cornerville; son, William Brady (Rachel) Bolen of Star City; daughter, Trinity Ann Bolen (Michael) Burnett of Star City; two grandchildren, Madilynn Bolen and Bodie Burnett; brother, W.G (Robin) Bolen of White Hall; and three sisters, Peg Morgan of McGehee, Desi Milholland and Myrtle Bolen, both of Star City.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Bro. BJ Duvall will officiate.
