William “Bill” Homer Courson, 67, of Crossett, passed away on June 3, 2014 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital.
Mr. Courson was a retired millwright with 30 years of service to Georgia Pacific and a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of Meridian Baptist Church.
Mr. Courson enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He loved his family and his dog, Princess.
He was born on December 20, 1946 at Crossett and was the son of the late Robert O. and Carolyn Marie Word Courson.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mae Courson of Crossett; two sons, Shane Courson (Ashley) of Mayflower, David Courson (Bianca) of Crossett; a daughter, Tiffani Blankenship (Brad) of Crossett; two step-sons, Kevin Ross (Deanna) and Shawn Barnett, all of Crossett; one brother, Bob Courson Jr. of Butlerville, Ark.; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held June 6 at 2 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church with Bros. Kevin McDaniel and Bob Courson officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be held June 5 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Meridian Baptist Church, 4593 Ashley 703, Crossett, AR 71635.
