William Lee “Bill” Gibson, 56, of Monticello, passed away on August 14, 2018, at his home.
He was born on August 12, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Jack Gibson and Shirley Fay Benford Gibson.
Mr. Gibson was employed as a security guard at the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Armstrong Flooring in Warren and in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was also a certified CPR instructor and a nationally certified EMT. His hobbies included fishing and watching videos on You Tube. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Monticello where he was a member of the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one brother, James Gibson (Linda) of Dumas; one sister, Cindy Gibson of Monticello; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and numerous cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
