Willie Edward Kirtley, 90, of Dumas passed away on August 7, 2017 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Dumas and a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Kirtley was born on September 8, 1926 in Yell County to the late Gurma and Maudie Mae Newman Kirtley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Willie was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Nealey, his second wife, Angie Burnett; two sisters, Grace Manes and Iva Louise Gamble; and one brother, Buddy Kirtley.
He is survived by a son, Glenn Edward Kirtley of Grandbury, Texas; two stepsons, Larry and Mike Burnett both of Dumas; a stepdaughter, Becky Rogers of McGehee; a sister, Janice Hoyt of California; and, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11 at Griffin Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
A service will be held on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Dumas at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Walnut Lake Cemetery with Rev. Dubs Byers officiating.
