Willie Mae Miller, 71, of Monticello, died on August 10, 2014 at The Woods of Monticello.

She was born in Monticello on July 6, 1943 and was the daughter of the late James and Jessie Mae Grandy.

At an early age she joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and committed her life to the Lord. In later years she was unable to attend church due to complications, but always kept God close to her heart and knew when to praise Him.

She was a homemaker and loved people, her family and never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son.

Survivors include two sons, Delbert Arrington and wife Lorraine of Lacey and Leonard Ingram of Monticello; two daughters, Carolyn Miller and husband Leron of Monticello and Renee Rush of Monticello; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is August 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services will be held August 16 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
