Winfred Dwayne Ash, 52, of Monticello passed away on November 9, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born on May 22, 1964 in La Port, Indiana and was the son of Winfred and Linda Aronald Ash.

Mr. Ash was a “jack of all trades,” and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a love of Razorback football and was also entertained by NASCAR. He loved being around his grandkids along with other family members and friends. He attended First United Pentecostal Church of Monticello.

Mr. Ash was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lynn Ash Etheredge and and nephew, Grep Bishop.

Survivors include a son, Jonathan (Jodi) Ash of Tillar; a daughter, Katelien (Brannon) Shields of Tyro; his parents, Winfred and Linda Aronald Ash of Monticello; brother, Darren (Denise) Ash of Monticello; sister, Tina Ash Bishop of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren, Aleah and Kaghan Crosswhite of Tyro, Joyce-Allen and Josi Ash of Tillar and Harper Shields of McGehee; niece, Cortnie Robison; two nephews, Tyler Bishop and Bo Etheredge; along with a host of great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on November 12 at 11 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church of Monticello with Anthony Hearnsberger officiating. Visitation is November 11 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Rock Springs Cemetery.
