Winnie Oglesby, 80, of Hamburg, died on September 8, 2015 at the Premier Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock.
Mrs. Oglesby was a native of Ashley County and a former resident of Andrews, Texas where she worked for the Andrews School District. She was an excellent homemaker, an avid reader, a seamstress and enjoyed crossword puzzles and stichery. She was a member of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Oglesby was preceded in death in July of this year by her husband of 63 years, J.B. Oglesby. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Annie Hartley Craig; a brother, Garland Craig and five sisters, Ann Blazier, Jean Compton, Elise Bryan, Ruby Turner and Lavada Osborne.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Howell and husband, Greg, of North Little Rock; a son, Don Oglesby and wife, Mary, of Magnolia; a brother, Bruin Craig of Crossett; two sisters, Norma Warren of West Tawakoni, Texas and Vivian Thurman of Lawton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on September 11 at 10 a.m. at the Eden Cemetery with Bro. Bill Elton officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
