Zellie Ann Mosley, 84, of Star City, passed away on June 21, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was a graduate of Star City High School, Arkansas A&M (now UAM) and Henderson State University, all with honors. She was school teacher at Crossett and in Roswell, New Mexico, for a total of 43 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Star City and was a Youth Sunday School Teacher until ill health kept her homebound and later to Gardner Nursing Center.
Ms. Mosley loved to travel with her travel mate, Pat Cogbill. They enjoyed many long distance trips sponsored by Relyance Bank.
She was born August 25, 1931 at Kingsland and was the daughter of the late Jady J. and Eula Belle Wilson Mosley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank Carroll and Penelope Wilson and James Samuel and Zellie Adams Mosley.
Ms. Mosley is survived by a brother, Carroll Mosley and wife Judy of Star City; four nieces, Julie Giacomino of Star City, Kimberly (Joe) Eikrem of Tucson, Arizona, Susan (Robert) Vincil of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Sammie (Scott) Mosley-Patterson of Salem, Oregon; five great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews and a first cousin, Robert White of El Dorado.
Funeral Services will be held on June 24 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel with Bros. Dennis Dodson and Bryan Diffee officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be Leek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gary Thompson, Barry Boren, Drew Steed, John Culliford, and Raz Brown, all of Star City and Scott Patterson of Salem, Oregon.
